Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a ex-chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. She is the host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, explains easy techniques any person can master. Chef Burrell was a student and worked in the best New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. As a youngster, living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received the English and Communications degree from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great experience. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy Burrell developed a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian food and culture. It will have a significant impact on the way she approaches her cuisine. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids who have challenges. Burrell speaks on her culinary passion and shares her expertise in the culinary world when she travels throughout the US in various roles such as speakers and mentors. Anne declared that she felt fortunate in that she could share her true passion with other people.
