Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel and jazz in his signature style. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway to the Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine has the name Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta but her origins are located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop the musical profession by singing and playing the piano at church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on Atlanta's R&B culture. In 2005, she was commissioned to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by all of the country during daily performances of four at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being requested to sing with President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
