Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash-Morgan, actor and a member of the SSC's board since 2011, is the co-founding artistic director of the recently formed theater company Speech of Fire. She was the Artistic Director of Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 through the year 2019. The producer was also of costumes/sets, composer/musician and text coach for SSC while she served as the Artistic Director of SSC. While she was usually the leader of the acting ensemble during her last year, she was able to make her debut as a director (and the lighting design) for the SSC's King Lear. Her roles include various other television shows in addition to acting. Daughter of poet Marylee Post and scientist Richard F. Post she was raised with two other children within Walnut Creek. Las Lomas High School in Los Angeles was her school that she chose to attend. She was a cheerleader. She studied briefly at Pomona College before graduating from Lewis & Clark College. Post wedding, she was married Stephen Knox in the past. In 1982, she was married to actor and writer Michael A. Ross with who she has two daughters. Post's role as a great mother, wife, and actress is admired by many.
